BURGOS, SPAIN:LIVING AND BREATHING THE CITY
Every fall semester, a group of Spanish students from Western Michigan University spends approximately five months in this beautiful city - studying, living, and immersing themselves in the Spanish culture; and during their stay, each student is required to stay with a Spanish family.
My Spanish family consisted of a Spanish grandmother, Esmeralda de la Vega. Most of the time I lived with only Esmeralda but on occasion, her daughters would come buy and visit for a few days - along with her cousins.
Yes, during the first months I was there I will confess that I was all about the night life, but eventually all i wanted to do was spend every weekend in a different city and learn something new and inspiring about the language and culture.
