Alas, this is very similiar to the grammar cheat sheet that I provided in my Teaching Philosophy section of this website. This particular lesson is supposed to help teachers find ways of assisting their students in finding their own personal voice when it comes to writing a paper. Allow me to give a brief list of Harry Noden's famous Five Brush Strokes. Such brush strokes pertain to the different grammatical aspects of a single sentence:
1) Painting with Participles
2) Painting with Absolutes
3) Painting with Appositives
4) Painting with Action Verbs
5) Painting with Adjectives Shifting out of
Order
